The Genesee County Road Commission seeks bids for the following

Sealed proposals for the performance of work listed below will be received by The Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Genesee, Michigan at 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, Michigan until 10:00 a.m., September 17, 2018 at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Plans and proposals may be obtained at the Road Commission Office, 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, MI 48503 on or after 8:00 A.M., September 6, 2018. A non-refundable charge of ten ($10.00) dollars each plus $0.60 sales tax will be charged for furnishing the proposal that is picked up at the Genesee County Road Commission.  A non-refundable charge of twenty ($20.00) dollars each plus $1.20 sales tax will be charged for furnishing each set of plans and proposal that is picked up at the Genesee County Road Commission.  An additional cost of five ($5.00) dollars plus $0.30 sales tax will be charged for mailing the plans and proposal.  Plan and proposal charges will not be refunded. 

Proposals may also be obtained from the Road Commission Web Site at www.gcrc.org.  No charges will apply for furnishing the electronic version of the proposal in adobe acrobat format.  It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to print out the proposal in its entirety and submit the completed bid proposal to the Road Commission office by the time and date as shown above.  No proposal shall be accepted by e-mail.

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall be conspicuously and plainly marked with the "proposal identification" to which the bid applies.  The right is hereby reserved to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest and to the best advantage of the public.

The Crawford County Road Commission seeks bids for the following

The Crawford County Road Commission will receive sealed bids until 4:00 p.m. (for a bid opening during their regular meeting), on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at their Grayling office located at 500 Huron Street, Grayling, MI 49738, for the following quantities of cutting edges:

(600) - 5/8" x 8" x 6' Single or Double Beveled thru Hardened with 5/8” bolt holes
(15)- %” x 8” x 7’ Single or double Beveled thru Hardened with %” bolt holes
Standard hole punch, M D O T specifications required: 10 l/2#/ft. after punching, C-1090 steel (minimum).

Bidders are urged to bid on various sizes and styles. Bidders are urged to quote on other types of blades, i.e., 5/8” & 3/4" thickness, other cross-sections, etc. Bid prices shall include delivery to the Grayling garage. Delivery within thirty (30) days unless otherwise specified. Prices shall be good for One (1) year after the date of award of bid.

Rest Area Building and Grounds Maintenance

If not enclosed; the Detail Sheet/Special Provisions can be obtained at the above address or by phone at 231-796-2611.

Contractors wishing to bid on the Building and Grounds Maintenance are required to have the Detail Sheet/Special Provisions prior to the pre-bid meeting.  The pre-bid meeting will be held at the Rest Area on Monday, September 17th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.  Contractors interested in bidding on Building and Grounds Maintenance are required to attend this meeting.  FAILURE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING WILL BE CAUSE FOR DISQUALIFICATION OF BID.

The Crawford County Road Commission seeks bids for the following

The Crawford County Road Commission shall receive sealed bids at their offices at 500 Huron St.., Grayling, Michigan 49738 until 4:00 p.m., on September 25, 2018 at which time and place they will forwarded to the Michigan Department of Transportation for approval and award. For furnishing the following labor and equipment rental for the following for working with the Michigan Department of Transportation’s bridge repair crew in various locations throughout Northern Michigan.

Maximum of eight (8) concrete labors with bridge experience for 40 hours per week (Monday- Thursday) 6:00AM to 4:30pm
(1) 375 CFM high output air compressor
(3) 601b jack hammers
(3) sets of concrete hand finish tools
$500,000 liability insurance each occurrence

Starting, October 1, 2018. Contract amount is not to exceed $499,000.00 and will terminate when that amount has been expended.

Bid will include all labor, benefits and equipment. Bidder shall indicate labor rate for regular hours and labor rate for overtime hours.

All bids must bear bidder’s name and name of equipment or services bid plainly marked on the outside of an opaque envelope.
